The Living

he Living Room provided space for greeting guests and enjoying the company of family and friends by the fireside. During the more than thirty years that the Fords lived here, many changes were made in this room.
Initially,
the Living Room had portions of the walls covered with tapestry
fabric stretched between classical
"pillars." Eventually, the fabric was replaced with French walnut paneling. As styles changed,
Mrs.
Ford was encouraged by her daughter-in-law, Eleanor Clay
Ford and advised by her designer,
