The Blue Garden beautified the view from the bay windows of the Dining Room, Palm Hall, and Swimming Pool. Close to the riverside, this garden is positioned at a lower level and separated from the English Garden by a small stone staircase.

Blue flowers were Mrs. Ford's favorite and all flowers in this garden had to be a shade of blue (except in the spring, when different kinds of tulips were approved for the area). There is another small stone staircase leading from the north end of the Blue Garden to the access point of the Lower Enclosed Porch, at the riverside entrance of the residence.
